As an alternative, I propose an approach based on user experience design to both assessing and designing data visualizations, in the recognition that using a visualization of this kind is a form of experience that can benefit from explicit planning. Modern-day data visualizations have emerged as a new visual language to represent, explore, and convey data, either quantitative or qualitative. ![]()
